Blogging in PE

Been thinking for a while now about students reflecting on their learning in PE and how this could affect their future learning.
Blogging after each lesson about what they have learnt allows the teacher to track their progress but also gives them a legacy of work that they can look back over when doing GCSE or BTEC in sport, they can review how they learnt, see lesson structure and development and examine personal strengths and weaknesses.
If you add in regular fitness testing and recording they can see patterns emerge and even use this data in ICT

  1. I have been thinking hard on reflections in PE too, as this is a major strand for the MYP. Blogging is good but I also think that some formative quick tick type boxes can also help them (and you) on a quick picture. Socrative.com is another way to get instant feedback that has been working in our classes too.

    1. Socrative is really good and hopefully we will have iPods in lessons that will help this out.
